I've been teaching fully online while I live in Osaka, my favorite city so far.
It's just enough income to get by, but I need something better if I want to travel or make it back home to America.
I was considering China next. English teachers make tons of money compared to Japan.
But do I want a job?
Not really.
Do I want to live in China?
Kinda.
Do I want a visa and income that will let me explore China for a year?
Yes.
To travel, or to live. That is the question.
Perhaps it's better to simply visit, and maintain my base in Japan.
It's been a year, and I'm just beginning to have momentum with my online work, social network, habits and hobbies. To make another jump to a new country so soon will disrupt all the time and effort that I've put in to make it this far.
Things take time, and I love it here. But if I want to stay, I either have to get a job or make visa runs every 3 months, which can only last so long.
I'm leaning more towards the latter, which would officially make me a digital nomad.
Sounds unstable...
