It's January 31st, 2024. I'm at Hotel Pagoda in Nara. The Five-Story Pagoda is right next door. This is my seventh day in Japan.
But this is the first day I've spent in Nara. I took the train from Osaka this morning for 680 yen.
The rest of the days were all spent in Osaka. And though at first I did not want to leave, I felt like I needed a change of pace from the busy nightlife and capsule hotel in Dotonbori.
As soon as I stepped out onto the balcony/smoking area and looked out at the hills and wet rooftops I felt like I found the right place. This will be a good spot to just chill and reflect.
Well, there goes my first blog post. Stay tuned for more. I'm still getting my feet wet.
