It doesn't take much to have an experience.
Just go for a walk. Look around.
Let life flow in front of you.
Don't look for anything in particular, because you may miss something.
Simply allow, and things will be shown to you.
Most people are in a hurry. Too focused on getting somewhere. Or getting something.
Life flows right by them. And they miss all of it.
It's like that quote from Ferris Bueller: "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
So don't be in a hurry. Take your time. Be patient. And you'll be amazed at what you see.
Because you're looking.
Your head is up. Your eyes are open. Looking around and in front of you. And to state the obvious: not looking down at your phone.
I was always afraid of what I looked like to other people. It turns out they're all just staring down at their phones. No one cares.
So you're walking, looking around, taking your time. What do you see?
A mom with two daughters running hand-in-hand across the street to catch the light. The little one giggling and yelling "3, 2, 1..!" with a big toothy smile.
A white-orange cat rubbing against the leg of a high school student sitting alone on the steps at the train station.
A food market abandoned for the night. You take some time to walk around, wondering what it's like in the morning bustle of people.
What do you see when you're in a hurry?
A red light.
People in front of you.
Traffic.
Switch off your default mode network by opening up to the world around you. There is infinite possibility.
Just look around.
